Things I See
Detail of a larger rusting Coca Cola sign on the back of the famous Jimtown Store, near Healdsburg in Sonoma County, which caught my eye. I took a number of shots and played with some of them a little digitally, like this one with its slightly high contrast and deeper saturation.
Each piece is printed on metal by infusing dyes directly into specially coated sheets. The clarity and quality of this process is astonishing, with incredible detail and resolution. And the durability is unrivaled--the frame is the aluminum sheet itself, which can be wiped with a wet cloth without damage to the image. There is no glass that is subject to breakage in transit or if dropped.
