Hidden and Not So Hidden Gems of Berkeley
I was trying to shoot this carved head of what looks like a conquistador from the street, when the owner pulled up in his pickup and declared to me: “That head came all the way from Scotland—as did I!” “Nice coincidence,” I replied, “So did the photographer!” No word, however, on what a conquistador might be doing that far off track. On Oxford, along with the Stone Head and several small metalwork pieces, including a tiny violin and a meerschaum pipe.
